COVID lockdowns and continued restriction are bringing somber moods and lots of mental health issues. Feeling good about ourselves starts with self-care, and includes making an effort to get dressed and look good.

It is associated with mental health and too little can lead to many of the mental health issues we see in today’s society. Often called the “happy hormone” a dopamine release can occur when we do things that bring joy or are associated with strong memories – sex, shopping, baking cookies in the oven.
This is why Retail Therapy often gives a quick dopamine hit. Feels good to buy something new. But you can increase your dopamine levels by getting enough sleep, exercising, sitting in the sun, yoga, or just listening to music.
