Hello, Darlings! Today I am going to be showing you How To Beat The Winter Blues With Color. I am continuing my “Journey Of Color” to get out of my rut of wearing black and explore my seasonal color palette.
Currently, I am a member of the Kettlewell Colour Club Facebook group, which is not only a great way to see how real people wear and fit in the Kettlewell clothes but also how they wear different colors. They are a major inspiration on my journey to add colors to my wardrobe.

The Winter Blues
Even though blue is a great color for me, I have little in my wardrobe. Now after seeing how the Kettlewell Colour Club members wear their blues, I have added some very strategic blue shades. Blue is a very calming color, but I need the blue to be cool and clear. Some of the blue colors that work for me are Cobalt, Sapphire, Breton Blue, and Chinese Blue.

Sapphire Blue A Staple For A Jewel Winter
I discovered this year that the tonal direction I look best in is the “Jewel” colors of the Winter Seasonal Color Palette.

Sapphire is the staple for a Jewel Winter. I have been playing with this color for the last couple of days, mixing it with other bolder and bright colors.

Breton Blue Is Between Cobalt & Sapphire
Subtle differences make Breton Blue an easy addition to the wardrobe. A tad bit brighter than Sapphire, and less intense than Cobalt, it is a winner for my wardrobe.

Currently, I have one piece in Breton Blue, a V Neck Evie Sweater from Kettlewell. It is getting a workout in my wardrobe.

Cobalt Blue Is A Favorite For Spring And Summer
My Cobalt Blue Darcy V Neck 3/4 Sleeve Top was one of the first Kettlewell purchases I made. I absolutely love the color, so bold/bright/cool/ clear. I will be buying more of it when the Spring/Summer Kettlewell Collection is available in late Feb/March.

I am anxiously waiting for my Cobalt Blue City Poncho from Kettlewell. I should get it in the mail any day. It has been sitting at the post office for over a week. I look forward to wearing it on these cooler days with a black turtleneck and my bootcut jeans/pants.
Chinese Blue Is A Shade Of Turquoise
Not sky blue nor the greener turquoise, Chinese Blue is a cool/clear color. I love wearing it with black during the colder months. When the Spring/Summer Kettlewell collection drops, I will be grabbing everything I can. Anyday now I should get a 3/4 Faux-Wrap Top and Shawl Wrap Cardigan in Chinese Blue. Look forward to styling both those pieces.
