Hello, Darlings!
Today is about fall fashions. I will be honest with you, the season is getting away from me. Here in the south, we have much more “still summer” than we do “fabulous fall”. Literally, it was 90 degrees one day and 70 the next- welcome to Fall. Last year after I purged my wardrobe, I realize how little fall fashions I really had. So this year I am working on building my fall/winter wardrobe with pieces that are flattering to my body type- pear shape.
Need Figure Flattering Jeans
One of the first purchases I made this year were figure- flattering jeans. I need both a dark denim and a black. After testing many pairs, I found the Wit & Wisdom Ab-solution Itty Bitty Bootcut Jeans. I love the flared bottoms that help balance out my hips. No more skinny jeans for me (unless I am tucking them into a pair of boots). The Wit & Wisdom jeans are a high rise (hallelujah) and come in both petite and regular sizes.
Flattering Sweater That Is Not Too Bulky
I realized after purging my closet this winter that I did not have many fall sweaters. Matter a fact, I did not have any that were not black/gray/beige. I needed some fall color in my wardrobe. Sweaters have been difficult because I am short and don’t like a bunch of bulky. Plus it is really not that cold here so keeping warm is not an issue, burning up is. Most of all, I needed it to flatter my figure. So I went on a search for v neck sweaters. I found the Sanctuary Amare Shaker Sweater from Nordstrom.
FABULOUS Fall Scarf
One of the easiest ways to add fall color is with a scarf. I have been looking hard for a scarf with fall colors that did not have a beige background. Beige is not a good color for me to have next to my face. Behold! Nordstrom came thru with this gorgeous BP Plaid Scarf. It has blue, teal green, Merlot, a bit of golden yellow, and a grey/white background. It will go with so many outfits. Plus it is not a blanket scarf so it will not add a bunch of bulk next to my face. The oblong shape makes it easy to try out all those scarf-tying ideas.
Waterproof Booties In Black
Did I tell you most of Nov/Dec in the South is rainy? Yep, it is our “rainy season” and last year I ruined my favorite booties. So this year the quest for the find a waterproof bootie that was comfortable yet cute too. I found it! Blondo Valli Waterproof Booties. I liked these booties so much, I bought them in brown too. Comfortable and the perfect shoe to put on to wear with my jeans and black pants.

I love your picks this week! The Burgundy sweater is so pretty but doesn’t look like its too warm! And I love the scarf as well! And I just got those Blondo booties and love them!
The sweater is not too hot and bulky. Which is good because it is very cool today but Monday will be warm with severe weather. Back to shorts and sandals.
I don’t have many fall sweaters either! What is up with that? I have been collecting a few this fall! Love your posts!

Thanks Kim! Fall tends to get away from us. Also for me, many of the fall colors are not very flattering to my skin tone This year’s merlot and teal green are fabulous. I am trying to get out of my black/ grey zone
Let’s just say I’m a little jealous. Already we are layering upon layering to keep warm in our blog photos…LOL!!
XOXO
