Today is all about how to be a hostess for a bridesmaid luncheon. This was a CRAZ¥ week. I taught tennis Monday-Thursday in the afternoons, then Friday help host a Bridesmaid Luncheon for our newest Davidson, Mara. What a beautiful day for the luncheon. The Bridesmaid luncheon was held in the Sunroom at the Mountain Brook Club. This Sunroom was light and bright, perfect for the hydrangea themed bridal lunch. We arrived early to help create a simple table arrangement of cut hydrangeas and set up the tables with place cards.
How To Be A Hostess For A Bridesmaid Luncheon
Simple Hydrangea Table Arrangements
This is an easy and inexpensive way to have a centerpiece at each table. The hydrangeas were clipped and fastened together with green pipe cleaners so they would stay together. Each arrangement was then placed in a simple glass bowl and water added
Unique Napkin Display
I can not take credit for this what so ever, but how cute are these. The napkins are wrapped and twisted into a rose. I admit I tried to duplicate it and fail miserably. This does not look too hard, may have to google it for another luncheon.
This lovely mimosa was almost too pretty to drink. The first hour of the luncheon consisted of cocktails and passed appetizers of cherry tomatoes and goat cheese, and smoked salmon. The main lunch was this pretty (and delicious) fresh fruit salad, cold potato soup, chicken panini, and a trio of mini dessert mousses. I ate the dessert before I could snap a pic, they were delicious.
What I Wore To The Bridesmaid Luncheon
Because I was a hostess, I needed to be comfortable. I chose to wear one of my favorite white and blue tribal print maxi dresses from Chico’s. This dress is several years old but I have worn it on many occasion. For earrings, I chose a statement earring in white from Baublebar. And for shoes, I wore my super comfortable FitFlops. You saw everything from pants, to dresses, to maxi dresses.
Hostess For Luncheon
It can be kind of awkward to help host a luncheon with a group of women you have never met, but these ladies were wonderful and welcoming from the moment I walked in the door.
Cute Gifts For Bridesmaids
This was just too cute to not show you. Mara, the bride, gave her bridesmaids these darling hydrangea print pj to get ready for the wedding in. You can not tell from the pic, but they are super soft.
I hope this gives you some ideas on hostessing a Bridesmaid Luncheon. I have been to so many lately, I feel like when my daughter gets married, we will have this down pat. This week is a relaxing week. I am planning on spa time and salon time.
