Hello, Darlings! Talking today about Fall Fashions When Your Seasonal Palette is Winter. I love fall, cooler temps, crisp fresh air, fall leaves, pumpkin spice, just about everything. There is something exciting about pulling out jeans, boots, and sweaters- finally.
In my last post, How To Pick Out Clothes In Your Seasonal Color Palette, I introduced you to the color seasons. I am a Winter, and my best colors are really not the colors of fall. But with a couple of tips and tricks, I can enjoy a taste of fall in my wardrobe
Fall Fashions When Your Seasonal Palette is Winter

How Do I Take My Seasonal Winter Color Palette And Make It Work For Fall Fashions?
My coloring is along the “cool” side, specifically, I am a Winter according to my Seasonal Color Analysis. So many of the colors of fall such as oranges and yellows, do not look good on me. But I can still create fall looks, working with the colors that do work with my skin tone.
Deeper Winter Colors Work Great For Fall Looks

Working within my Winter Seasonal Palette, I have put together some looks that not only work with my skin tone, but are great to carry over into the holidays. Just add more glam.
Deep Claret And Grey Combination For Fall

This outfit screams, “WINE TASTING”. All I need is a bottle of Meiomi. Black pants and cowl neck top with a punch of Deep Claret/ Burgandy/Deep Red. All I need to do is paint my toes. I am thinking OPI Taupe-Less- Beach
The cardigan and cowl neck sleeveless top is from Kettlewell Colours. My pants are Beyond Proper Travel Collection Cropped Pant, and my shoes are OTBT Jaunts.
Pine And Deep Claret For Fall

I have been wanting to add more green in my wardrobe. But my best green is blue/green. This cardigan is in a color called Pine (deep and dark blue/green). I added an Infinity Scarf in Deep Claret. This scarf is very lightweight. This could be a holiday look for me too. Both scarf and cardigan came from Kettlewell Colours.
Chocolate And Teal For Fall

I love black and brown together but brown is not one of my best colors. Add a bright scarf against the face in a color that is in your seasonal color palette and it works. This is the Long Cascade Cardigan in Chocolate. My scarf is a thicker Merino Infinity Scarf in Deep Kingfisher. It photographs bluer, but it is a teal color.
I could also have added the Deep Claret scarf from above. If you want to wear a color that is not in your seasonal color palette, make sure you add a color shield. I could have not worn a scarf, gone with my black v neck top, and add a great silver necklace. But, I am experimenting with color. I love the chocolate and teal combo.
Snake Print And Deep Claret For Fall

I keep pulling out the snake print camisole. It has a lot of black in it so it works with my skin tone for a base layer. I would change out the necklace to something that emphasizes the v neck. But the deep claret color just pops. Need to add a little darker lipstick.
Hint- Take Photos!
Being a blogger I am forced to take pics. But it is a great way to see if an outfit is working with your body type, style, and skin coloring. You can even put together a “Look Book” to have on hand to help you quickly pick out an outfit for an event. I use the pic to help me decide whether an item is a keeper or return and any adjustments to accessories.
