Keto Diet- What Is A Fat Bomb?

Hello, Darlings! Today I am going to talk about Keto Diet- What Is A Fat Bomb? Fat Bombs are small snacks made almost entirely of fat. Most fat bombs contain healthy fats, natural sweeteners, and only a touch of protein. Fat bombs are a great way to get in additional fat grams and satisfy sweet cravings without getting out of ketosis.

Let’s be honest, if we could totally control our sweet cravings we would not be in this position. My trigger food has always been ice cream, the cold and creamy feeling on my tongue helps calm me.

Keto Diet- What Is A Fat Bomb?

Yes, there are some “keto-friendly” ice creams brands, but I found that they will take me out of ketosis, too many carbs. This is the problem with playing the net carbs vs total carbs game. For someone with insulin resistance, you don’t know your tipping point. Even with only 20 total carbs, I am still struggling with insulin resistance.

Warning On Sugar Substitutes

Lots of options for sweeteners that are keto-friendly

Now, here is another warning, most fat bombs have some sort of natural sugar substitute. Many of these sugar substitutes do not cause insulin spikes but eating too much can stall weight loss.

Best advice is to use them sparingly for cravings. Also, make sure you measure them correctly and record the macros in your Carb Manager. Just the act of putting them in and being accountable to those macros will help.

Let’s Make Some Fat Bombs
