Hello, Darlings!
Today I am going to talk about favorite wines for hostess gifts. Whether it is Thanksgiving Dinner, a holiday party, or Christmas dinner, wine is a good gift to bring for the hostess. If your host family are not wine drinkers or it is not an appropriate gift, I will have another post with ideas on hostess gifts. But today, it is all about wine
Favorite Wines For Hostess Gifts For The Holidays

There’s An App For That
You are at the grocery store or wine shop and you are totally clueless to what wine to bring to the dinner or party, don’t worry… there is an app for that.
Vivino Ap

Down load the Vivino Ap to your phone. Scan your bottle find out information on the wine, price and read the reviews and purchase all online. Great to have in the grocery for finding out if that bottle you picked out is a good one.

My Favorite Wines

A good rule of thumb with wines is, if you like it, chances are others will like it to. Don’t think you have to bring a fancy expensive wine for a gift. Most of my favorites are under $20 and many times on sale for less.
My Favorite Red Wines
Meomi

Easy to find on sale in my local grocery store and even Target, Meiomi Pinot Noir is a great red blend to bring as a hostess gift.
La Crema

Chianti Classico Riserva 2015

Not sure you can find this in your local grocery store, but this Chianti Classico from Banfi was my favorite from the food and wine tasting last month. Really, anything from Banfi is great! Italians know how to do wine
My Favorite White Wines

Kim Crawford- Sauvignon Blac

New Zealand is known for its Sauvignon Blac. Kim Crawford is one of my favorite for a light summery wine with hints of citrus.
Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio

Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio is the perfect white wine that all wine drinkers will love. This is what I pull out when my friends come by at the beach to sit by the pool and visit.
My Favorite Rose

Rosa Regale Banfi

A sweet red sparkling wine that not only tastes good but looks good in the glass. If you are having a party, I would buy this wine by the case and serve it in champagne glasses with cranberries on top.
Miraval Provence Rose

This is Angelina Jolie’s wine from France. The French are great with rose and champagne. This is a very fresh and elegant wine
Don’t Forget To Wrap It
The presentation is everything. This time of year you can find tons of wine bags to “wrap” you thank you gift in. Target and World Market are my favorites for finding unique wine bags.

This monogram jute bag from World Market (not online only in stores) can be a gift for not only hostess for the holidays but the year-round. World Market also has a great wine/beer selection.

Need to buy in bulk? This pack of 12 red burlap bags will do the trick. These bags also come in a brown burlap for a more natural look.

Or try this 6 piece set of sweater wine covers from Amazon for a more whimsy look.

Ran out of time? Been there, done that! Grab a nice big bow or even a Christmas ornament and make your wine bottle look like a gift.
Today I am running around getting all my groceries for Thanksgiving. I will be heading to the lake to prepare the house and food for the arrival of my family. Hope to punch out a few more gift guides this week.
