It is October and time for a little fall decorating. With the white bright home decor becoming very popular, I wanted to give you some decorating idea to bring a fall look without clashing with the clean lines. My daughter Anna has done an incredible job decorating her home for fall. All items shown are inexpensive and purchased either at Michael’s, Kirkland’s, or Hobby Lobby.
How about some white pumpkins for a change of decor. This wreath was purchased at Kirkland’s and goes great with my daughter’s modern cottage decor.
The fireplace mantle is the perfect place to add a touch of fall. Multiple sizes of white, pale green/blue pumpkins added lambs ears and pinecones add a touch of fall without overpowering the white bright decor. The inexpensive glass vases from Hobby Lobby are filled with twigs and the mantle is finished off with a wooden welcome sign and Thankful banner reminding us to take this time to reflect on the blessings of the season

Pumpkins and Lambs Ear Greenery
Decorating The Coffee Table
At first, I thought these succulents were REAL. Nope, the white pumpkins from Michael’s are carved out and artificial succulents are added for a touch of greenery. Love the different colors and textures of the succulents. You could do this with real succulents, just fill the carved out faux pumpkin, add soil and a drainage hole in the bottom. The array of faux succulents in stores now is amazing. Finally, don’t forget to display your collection of fall magazines for everyone to read and flip through.
Kitchen Table Fall Decor
Need something to go on the kitchen table but do not want it to clash with your “white and wood” decor? Try this simple centerpiece. The wooden container came from Hobby Lobby and is one that is used all year round. For fall, Anna added a selection of varies sizes of white pumpkins with lambs ear greenery for silvery green color and texture. Additional filler pieces and some pinecones finish off this arrangement. Simple, inexpensive yet elegant. The candlesticks are from the Dollar Store and are spray painted a black metal finish. Gold candles and a burlap table runner complete the display

Adding a touch of Fall To Bookcases
Scattered throughout Anna’s house, you will find touches of fall such as this very simple display. Pumpkin and gourds of varies sizes and colors, fall scented candles, and this wooden frame with fall family pic make a great display and give a bookcase or shelf that something special without being overpowering. Mixing textures, colors, wooden and glass give interest and balance.
Fall is a time of food, football, and fellowship. With the weather changes and the ability to truly enjoy the outdoors, adding fall decorations is a great way to bring the season into your home. Fall is my favorite time of year.
