Today we are going to have fun playing in Cabi-Fall 2018 Collection. Labor Day has come and gone signaling the end to summer and with that cooler weather will be heading our way soon (I hope). Here in the south, we can have summer temperatures into November. But with the leaves changing colors, it is time to talk about some fall fashions. Let me introduce to you the Cabi Fall 2018 Collection
If you are not familiar with Cabi Clothing, it is women’s clothing sold in the “home hostess format” or what Cabi calls “pop up shops” where you can attend a party and trying on the latest fashions. Cabi does have online shopping for those who don’t like that format or do not have a Cabi stylist near them. Much of today’s clothing is what I call throwaway pieces, fast fashion made cheaply. Cabi Clothing is NOT. Cabi clothes are investment pieces, quality made for real women. Many of the pieces will have darts/pleats/ tucks that will help the garment fit well and look slimmer. Cabi comes out with a Spring/Fall lines and adds additional pieces to those collections in between seasons.
Playing in Cabi-Fall 2018 Collection
Denise is one of my tennis gal pals and has been selling Cabi for several years. She loves the company and the fact that the clothes are designer quality and sell themselves. As a Cabi stylist, you become your clients’ go-to fashion resource as you build relationships through personalized service and styling advice.
Cabi’s Fall 2018 Collection is what they call “Folk Luxe”. Textures, prints, masculine and feminine touches mixed with earthy autumn hues. Within the collection, you will find bold plaid jackets, chunky sweaters, tons of florals and prints for layering. Ponte Knits play a huge part in the collection with their ease of care and figure flattering features. Lots of details with buttons, darts, pleats, zippers, and ruffles.
Thrive Top In Golden Yellow
Golden yellow is the HOT color for fall. It is everywhere. Amal Clooney set the trend when she wore a dress and hat in this bold color to the royal wedding. Not an easy color to wear for most people. Here Denise is wearing the Thrive Top, a double layer v neck blouse, in the golden yellow with a graphic floral print for balance. This top can be worn alone or add a jacket or sweater for the layered look

Celebration Jacket In Poppy Red
Another bright bold color this fall is poppy red. Celebration Jacket in poppy red is bold yet very flattering. The lightweight jacket with tons of details makes a fabulous piece to pair with black for a showstopper.
Again showcasing the poppy red, this layering look features the Sweet Talk Tee in a grey and red stripe. This top can be worn by its self or add the Prep Pullover for a figure-flattering layered look. The layered sweater helps to create a more hourglass silhouette. Add a long necklace and your favorite denim for a fun casual look for fall.
Another color you will see this fall is merlot. A burgundy red color that mixes well with greys and blacks. Cabi has used this color several times in their collection including this top, the Weaver Blouse. The Weaver Blouse is a graphic floral with merlot flowers and a hint of pink making this top slightly feminine. The Applaud Jacket is one of the favorite pieces in the Cabi Collection with its crop style and attention to detail in the buttons and seams. Perfect jacket for petites, as Cabi does not carry petite clothing.
Flutter Blouse In Leopard
Did you know that cheetah and leopard prints are now the “new neutral”? You will be seeing them everywhere this fall. Cabi knows this and added this Flutter Blouse to their fall collection. You can wear it now as you transition from summer into fall or later layer it under a jacket or sweater.
Not sure you can wear the golden yellow? Try it in a print. The Cluster Cami is a black sleeveless cami with hints of golden yellow, brown, and blue. The Journey Jacket with all its details looks like a favorite piece you have had in your closet for years. Some of my favorite pieces from Cabi are the jackets.
I am wearing the Cluster Cami with its great v neck with a black jacket. The Agency Jacket is one of the fabulous ponte knit pieces in the collection. This piece is truly an investment piece. You can wear this as a business look or more casual with rolled sleeves. The jacket has a peplum bottom for a very feminine look. Cabi also has jewelry and accessories including scarves, belts, and shoes. Pearls will be HOT again this year as the go-to accessory for fall. To change things up, Cabi has added the Black Pearl Heritage Necklace. I love how this necklace hangs, bringing attention up to my face. Cabi has a matching multi-strand black pearl bracelet to finish the look.
It is time to talk about sweaters. This is the Catch Cardigan in a merlot color. Cardigans are a great way to add color. Cabi’s Fall Collection contains cardigans in blue, green, gray, black, and golden yellow.
One of my favorite pieces ( and the one I purchased this year) the Cloak Cardigan is a very flattering sweater. The design curves into the waist creating a very slimming look. Perfect for wearing around the house or throwing on with jeans and a tee shirt, I can already tell it will be a go-to this fall and winter. I paired it with the Serenity Tee in a cool teal green. This color is also part of the fall color palette.
Here are some of the Cabi pieces that are my favorites and great for pear-shaped bodies.
Classic A-line skirt in ponte knit is an investment piece. This skirt is 19 inches long and will work great for a professional look, or add fun texture hose for an updated look.
This straight leg, higher rise, ponte knit trouser pant with a vertical seam down front is very figure flattering and comfortable
This fitted longline sweater with a shawl collar and slight waterfall hem is a great casual topper.
Based on a vintage Yves Saint Laurent jacket, this pink ponte twill jacket is uber sophisticated. This jacket is fitted with side pockets, cross-over detail in back, small lapel and button detail on sleeves. At 23 inches long this jacket is great for petites. Roll the sleeves up or leave them long to show off the buttons.
This 70s inspired amber corduroy coat is the perfect blend of classic pea and trench coat. This topper has small shoulder pads, great seaming to flatter all shapes, oversized side pockets and an inverted pleat in the back.
Vintage inspired blue and gray plaid jacket with a length of 21 inches. Great for petites
These gorgeous charcoal grey ponte knit trousers are a great staple in any workwear wardrobe.
This unique pullover sweater has a deep plum, bright red, and black color palette. This sweater with v neck, black band at the bottom is fitted for a slimmer, flattering look. At 22.5 inches long it is a great length for petites and pear shapes.
With cooler days/ nights falling leaves and scent of pumpkin spice in the air, it is time to start preparing your wardrobe for all the fun fall festivities coming up.
