I have this somewhat obsession with Lilly Pulitzer. Basically, I am Living All Year Round In Lilly Pulitzer. The bright colors pull me in like a moth to the light. I think it is because I am a “summer girl”. But to be honest, I wear Lilly all year round.
Living All Year Round In Lilly Pulitzer
For the most part, my Lilly Pulitzer collection has been tops. My favorite are those that have details such as off the shoulder/cold shoulder. This top is a new purchase this year, the Sain Off The Shoulder Top. With the bold bright floral print, this top is perfect to pair with white pants. It screams summer!. I added some fun Baublebar pink tassel earring to bring attention up to my face.
Lilly In The Fall
Lilly Pulitzer does not have your traditional fall colors. When Lilly does fall, the colors are a deeper pink with a jade green. The Bowen Top has gold chain neckline that closes in the back just like a necklace. Because we really don’t have a fall (we have “still summer”) I can wear this top under a denim jacket or even with white pants. I accessorize this top with a gold bracelet and hoop earrings.
Lilly For The Winter
Yep! When those cold days start to get me down, I break out my Lilly. This is a cashmere wrap/poncho which is perfect for adding bright color with black to help brighten up those long winter days. I have this one in hot pink too. In the winter collection, you will see sweaters in white/cream/navy/and bright colors. Lilly Pulitzer is considered by many to be resort wear, and winter is the perfect time to escape, even if it is just pulling out a bright colored sweater.
I also lounge around all winter long in Lilly. Winter time you will find me in yoga pants a Lilly Pulitzer zip up Popover. These long sleeve tops have a UPF50 with french terry cloth fabric, half zip, and pockets. I wear them for running errands, lounging, or to keep me warm with winter tennis.
Lilly In The Spring
The weather still might be cool, but I am headed for the beach for Spring Break. Ready for a vacation, I pull out my bright colored Lilly tops and pair them with white pants or bright colored pants for fun look. Spring Lilly colors tend to be toward what I call “easter egg colors”. Lighter versions of pink/green/blues. A fresh reminder that winter is coming to a close and the warmth of summer is on its way.
Dress Up In Lilly
Up until this year, Lilly Pulitzer dresses were “off limits” due to the fabric and cut. I am short and a bit curvy and they just did not fit. This year they have introduced fabrics that stretch and work with a curvy figure. That opens a whole new world up to me. Because I spend so much of my time at my beach house, the Harper Stretch Shift Dress is perfect for dinners out with friends or casual girls gathering when you want something special.
