Kimono Madness!

Hello, Darlings!

I have this obsession with kimonos.  Why? Well, let me enlighten you. Being the “Drama Queen” that I am, I love having a fashion piece that flows and makes a big statement.  Kimonos are the IT piece for making a statement.  My go-to dress for the summer is my little black dress.  I have them in strapless, cold shoulder, v-neck, scoop neck, and maxi.  The LBD (little black dress) is slimming and comfortable but quite frankly…. boring.  Now, enter the KIMONO.

Dress Barn Kimono For Added Style

This sheer palm print kimono for Dress Barn takes this boring, yet comfortable black dress and makes it a stylish outfit.  Not only that but if you are wearing it for the evening, it gives added warmth for those cool evening. Most important, because of the material, it is easy to pack and can be worn multiple ways.

When You Bathing Suit Cover-Up Doubles As A Kimono

Bathing Suit Cover Up As Kimono

Nowadays with all the restriction on baggage, we have to pack smart. You wardrobe pieces need to do “double duty”.  This hot pink Cejon Grazer Crinkle Cover Up from Macy’s is the perfect piece.  Bathing suit cover-up during the day, a kimono at night. Both times making a huge stylish wardrobe statement.  This kimono is perfect to add with the LBD for a POP of color.  I added hot pink tassel earring from Baublebar to help bring attention up to my face. Wore this same kimono/bathing suit cover-up on the beach with a black swimsuit.

When Your Bathing Suit Cover-Up Is Too Nice To Wear On The Beach- Make It A Kimono

Versatile Cover Up For Dinner Out

This Trina Trunk Sunburst Cover Up was just too nice to wear on the beach.  I was concerned that the sand/salt would mess this up, or even worse, laundry. It was too expensive of a piece to risk.  So, I wore it as a kimono. What a fashion statement! I was turning heads left and right and getting tons of compliments. Really, it doesn’t have a label that says “must wear as bathing suit cover-up”.

Neon Palm Print Chico’s Off The Rack Kimono To Add Fun

Casual Beach Dinner In Neon Kimono

After a day on the beach, the last thing I want to do is put on a bra.  I have the perfect LBD with a built-in bra to wear for dinner’s out.  But, I want to show off my healthy glow. One way to do that is to add a bright neon color.  This kimono adds attention and fun to my LBD.  The neon colors just emphasis my summer tan.  This kimono actually add some warm, which is great because we dined outside with a breeze off the ocean. Don’t know if this particular one is still available, but Chico’s Off The Rack is have 70% off summer sale.

Transitioning From Summer To Fall With A Kimono

As we start that transition from late summer to early fall, it is still hot but I want to tone down the summer color, grab a kimono.  Again, my LBD is the perfect piece to add this large graphic floral print. Still makes a statement, still adds a wee bit of warmth, but mostly adds color and drama.  This would look great with jeans or black pants. This kimono is from Dress Barn.

Also Called A Topper/Cardi- Kimono From Soft Surroundings

Everyone is having sales right now! There are also tax-free holidays in some area which give you additional discounts when you buy local.  Perfect time to grab you a kimono.. or two.  I just bought a kimono vest.
