What to wear on a Sunday morning in June? I work as a greeter at my church. I am outside during the first hour and inside during second. In the summer it is HOT and HUMID. I try to look cute and welcoming. My church is more contemporary and laid back which makes it easier to find clothes that are comfortable. My go to Sunday Look is bright colored capri jeans with a fun top and accessories.
Tomato & Turquoise Cold Shoulder Top
I LOVE this top from Venus. I call it Tomato & Turquoise. Not a color combination I would have thought but it works! So many compliments! The top is cold shoulder with v-neck cut which makes wearing a bra easy. Many times with cold shoulders the bra strap can be an issue. I hate strapless bras with a passion. This top covers the bra strap. The top is slightly fitted up top and flares as you get towards the bottom. Accentuates my positives. The material does not have stretch but the design makes for a comfortable flowy top that you can feel special in. Venus tops are a little more form fitted and sexy. Just what I need!
Comfy Capri Jeans
I paired this top with stretch capri jeans from NYDJ in light blue. Love the stretch capri jeans and buy them in EVERY color! With my body type pants are so hard to fit. The stretch jeans mold to your body for a better fit and helps prevent that dreaded gap at the waist band. When they stretch out too much, you just throw them in the wash and they shrink back. Winning!
Fabulous Turquoise Earrings
Earrings! These are from Kendra Scott. I found them in this cute shop, Pink Palm, in Arlington, VA on Mother’s Day. Happy Mother’s Day from me to ME! Kendra Scott earrings and necklaces make great gifts. You can pick and choose your stone, earring shape, and necklace to create a more personal look. We have a store here in Birmingham, Al. Kendra Scott works with charities and will design a piece of jewelry for you group to sell.
Necklace! This is my favorite piece. It is from Silpada. Silpada has changed ownership so I don’t know if this necklace is still available. Turquoise necklaces for summer are everywhere. I love multi layers. This necklace was a gift from my tennis “gal pals”. I have FABULOUS friends!!
